Nestled in lush farming land and natural bush, Boyup Brook is the gateway to the Blackwood River. The town is situated between the South West and Albany highways and provides an ideal opportunity to leave the busy life of the city and and relax in a clean and tranquil environment of rolling hills and beautiful wildflowers. Click here for a map of Boyup Brook Boyup Brook is widely recognised for the Boyup Brook Country Music Festival held every year in Feburary, Harvey Dickson's Country Music Centre and Roo Gully Wildlife Sanctuary. The Boyup Brook Flax Mill is also a point if interest as it produced strategic materials used during World War Two. Boyup Brook is home to some fine local producers of fine wines and olive oils and if you are visiting at the right time of year you can see the magnificent orchids and wildflowers which grow in the region.
There are many activities you can enjoy during your stay. They can be as varied as tackling the town walk trail or enjoy a leisurely self drive tour of the local tourist attractions. You will be inspired and intrigued with the districts history by visiting the Pioneer Museum, the Flax Mill and the Tourist Information Centre. Visitors also have the opportunity to take a look at many of the fine local arts, crafts and collections made right here in Boyup Brook. The Tourist Information Centre has displays of crafts including soaps, knitted garments, collectables plus many more. The Tourist Information Centre is where you will find the famous Carnaby Beetle and Butterfly Collection which is the reported to be the biggest collection of Jewel Beetles in the Southern Hemisphere. We also have a small gallery located in the Tourist Centre building with art work from local artists. Boyup Brook has a lot to offer tourists staying or travelling by.
